Pixelated veneer gives this book holder its color, small blocks of dyed wood laid side by side so the pattern reads as a fine mosaic across every face of the piece.
The veneer is reconstituted, which means grain and tone vary from block to block and no two holders repeat the same arrangement.
The effect is equal parts playful and refined, and it does its work quietly on a desk, holding a short row of books upright while adding a run of color to the surface.
Two sizes are offered, 12 by 7.5 inches and 21.5 by 14 inches, both 6.5 inches high, so the smaller suits paperbacks and the larger takes oversized art books.
